Greenfield Police Department Announces Safe Recovery of Missing Juveniles
Greenfield, Tennessee – July 16, 2026
The Greenfield Police Department is pleased to announce the safe recovery of the two juveniles who were reported missing on July 10, 2026.
At approximately 8:00 p.m. on July 10, the juveniles left their residence in Greenfield, Tennessee, and were observed traveling north on U.S. Highway 45. As the investigation progressed, investigators utilized License Plate Reader (LPR) technology, which confirmed the vehicle was traveling north through Bowling Green, Kentucky, before later being detected in the Owensboro, Kentucky, area during the early morning hours.
Throughout the investigation, the Greenfield Police Department received numerous tips and investigative leads regarding the juveniles' possible whereabouts. On July 16, 2026, at approximately 9:45 a.m., deputies with the Daviess County Sheriff's Office located both juveniles safe and unharmed.
The juveniles were transported to the Daviess County Sheriff's Office, where they were safely reunited with their parents.
The Greenfield Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to the Daviess County Sheriff's Office for its prompt response and outstanding assistance in locating the juveniles and ensuring their safe return.
The department would also like to publicly recognize and thank the many agencies that provided support throughout this investigation. Their cooperation, expertise, and resources were instrumental in bringing this case to a successful conclusion. Special thanks are extended to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Secret Service, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and Weakley County 911 for their willingness to provide assistance and resources whenever needed.
Finally, the Greenfield Police Department would like to express its gratitude to the families for the trust, patience, and confidence they placed in our department throughout this investigation. Our personnel worked tirelessly around the clock with one goal in mind—to safely reunite these children with their loved ones.
The Greenfield Police Department is grateful for the support received from our law enforcement partners and the community and is thankful that this case ended with the safe return of both juveniles.
