“We must fight bans on books that teach the honest, factual accurate history of Black people in America most dramatically… challenging lawmakers and school board members in local communities through both policy debates and electoral politics.” - NAACP

30+ states have banned books by Black authors and 40% of challenged books represent the lived experiences of people of color and the LGBTQIA+ community. This is an attempt to erase factually accurate history and uphold white supremacy. Take a stand alongside Freedom to Read advocates such as Reverand Dove and let book banners know that you “got a problem with that.”
