Poweshiek County Business Blend is back this week. It is a monthly coffee meetup for entrepreneurs and business owners to connect with other local business owners, work through common challenges and leave with one practical action to move your business forward.

Business coach Barb Baker from the Iowa Center for Economic Success leads each one-hour session.

As we wrap up September and celebrate National Good Neighbor Day on September 28, it's a great reminder that strong communities are built when neighbors help neighbors. One of the best ways to support someone is by sharing opportunities that can change a life. This week's Hot Jobs list is one way we're helping connect job seekers with employers throughout Central Iowa.

Within this list, you'll find opportunities here in Central Iowa that may fit what you're looking for. Please remember that this is not an exhaustive list, just a sample from the much larger pool of opportunities available across Iowa.

When the list is created, we make every effort to avoid repeating companies and job openings within a 3-to-4-week period. This helps keep the list fresh and actionable. However, positions can close at any time, so if you see an opportunity that interests you, visit the company's website and apply as soon as possible.

Poweshiek Development is proud to spotlight Grinnell College as a Leader Level Member.

Founded in 1846, Grinnell College is home to about 1,700 students from all over the world. But its impact goes far beyond the classroom. Students, faculty, and staff work side by side with local schools, nonprofits, businesses, and community groups, through internships, service projects, and hands-on learning that gives back to Poweshiek County.

As a Poweshiek Development member, Grinnell College is also a major economic engine for the region, supporting jobs, local development, and initiatives in housing, downtown growth, entrepreneurship, and health.
