We’re always glad to welcome Senator Todd Pillion to Haysi!
We want to take a moment to thank Senator Pillion for taking the time to visit our community and, more importantly, for everything he does to support Haysi, Dickenson County, and the people who call Southwest Virginia home.
Having leaders who take the time to listen, show up, and stay connected to our communities means a lot. We truly appreciate his continued support and dedication to our area.
Thank you, Senator Pillion, for all you do for our community!

Enjoyed seeing everyone at the pancake breakfast this morning to kick off Haysi’s Russell Fork Autumn Fest!

It may be a little wet today, but that hasn’t stopped folks from getting out and enjoying the festival. That’s Southwest Virginia spirit! Come on out, support our local vendors, enjoy some great music, and make the most of the weekend. Parade starts at 1!

While we still have a crew out at the Dickenson County Fair providing EMS coverage and supporting our community, we’ve also teamed up with Ballad Health to provide EMS coverage at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend! 🏁
Our crews are proud to serve wherever we’re needed — from our local community right here at home to major events across the region.
A big THANK YOU to Ballad Health for partnering with us and to all of our dedicated members who continue to step up and answer the call. ❤️
And don’t worry — our primary 911 coverage area remains covered while our crews are out supporting these events.
From the fairgrounds to the racetrack, Haysi Rescue Squad is ready to serve!

We Remember, We Honor, We Never forget 🇺🇸

09/09/2026

Today is a day to recognize the people who are willing to drop whatever they’re doing, leave their families, get out of bed in the middle of the night, and answer a call to help someone they may not even know.

Being part of emergency services isn’t always easy. There are long nights, hard calls, difficult moments, and sacrifices that most people never see. But there are also the moments that remind us exactly why we do it — helping someone on their worst day, bringing comfort to a scared family, or simply being there when someone needs somebody.

To our Haysi Rescue Squad family, thank you for giving your time, your energy, and your heart to this community. We appreciate every single one of you and the sacrifices you and your families make so that we can be there for others. ❤️

And to all of our fellow EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, dispatchers, law enforcement officers, and emergency service members — thank you for answering the call and standing beside us.

We may not always say it, but we appreciate you more than you know.

🚑❤️ Thank you for serving our community. Thank you for answering the call.

👀 SNEAK PEEK…
Things are starting to come together! Our new truck is getting closer and closer to making its way home to Haysi. The graphics have been installed, and the dealer only has got a few more things to get install before it’s ready for delivery.
We’re getting very excited to put this truck in service and, most importantly, put it to work serving our community. ❤️🖤
We’re not going to show you the whole thing just yet… 😉
Stay tuned. The full reveal is coming soon! 🚑🔥
