Make a monster craft at the craft table this week. Help yourself to a fruit filled activity bag in the library entry way. Activity bags are geared towards preschool/early elementary kids.

Bob the Beachcomber will bring live children's music to Sauerkraut Days immediately following the kiddie parade on Saturday morning, June 27 at Bender Park. The Friends of the Henderson Library will hand out popsicles to attendees.

Grab a Henderson Sauerkraut Days coloring contest page at the checkout desk. Color and return it to the library to be entered into the coloring contest. Each participant will get a coupon for a free bottle of pop/water at Bender Park shelter. Look for your works of art at the park this weekend.

Live music with Bob the Beachcomber coming up on Saturday, June 27 @ 10 AM in Bender Park. Show will begin immediately following the Sauerkraut Days kiddie parade.

The Henderson Library now has tents available to borrow. Check out high-quality camping gear, like the North Face Stormbreak 3 tent! It features a 3-person capacity, 40 square feet of floor space, and weighs less than 6 pounds. A 6'x8' waterproof, ripproof tarp accompanies the tent.
Stop by the library or send a message to check for availability. Tents have a 3 week checkout. Please return tents clean and dry.

Calling all young artists! It's time to get creative and show off your coloring skills for Henderson Sauerkraut Days 2026!

✅ Print your coloring page at home or pick one up at the Henderson Library.
✅ Color it however you'd like—bright, bold, and creative!

✅ Bring your completed coloring page to:
The Henderson Library before Sauerkraut Days, OR
The Bender Park Shelter during Sauerkraut Days weekend.

🎉 Everyone who turns in a completed coloring page will receive a coupon for a FREE pop or bottle of water during Sauerkraut Days!

🌈 Open to all kids who want to join the fun!

Heads up library closure!
The Henderson Library, along with all Traverse des Sioux Libraries, will be closed Friday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.

Looking ahead- the Henderson library will be closed Saturday, July 4 and Monday, September 7.
