Parent Care Management Services, Inc.

Parent Care Management Services, Inc. To do this, we consult with family members, current caregivers, physicians, and other professionals.

Parent Care Management Services (PCMS) Is a full service care management company dedicated to solving the elderly and disabled population's healthcare challenges. At the start of our term of service with a client, we conduct a full assessment of the individual, including physical, social, psychological parameters and also his/her ability to perform activities of daily living. We then prepare a rep

ort, reviewing our findings and making recommendations for care provisions, options and costs. Clients may then choose whether they would carry out the recommendations or hire our staff to coordinate ongoing services. We provide continuity and consistency of services to assist with in-home care or placement, as necessary. We coordinate appropriate services and monitor their effectiveness for your loved one. We work to avoid potential problems and conserve financial resources. Services include:
• Screening, setting up, training, coordinating, and monitoring competent in-home help
• Designing personalized care plans and records/logs to ensure compliance with care plan
• On-going assessment of physical and mental health by periodic home or facility visits; regular phone calls for reassurance and problem resolution.
• Crisis management and early intervention to minimize deleterious effects

Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel opened its Redlands facility to describe the mortuary services they provide to a wide spectrum of the community. From Jewish funerals to Asian customs and Islamic rituals, Emmerson-Bartlett works with people to ensure their services meet the needs of their individual communities. Christian Quintana, the funeral director, introduced his staff, many of whom have been working together for years. Carolyn Michaelis-Moe, owner of Parent Care, learned that they offer an environmentally friendly papier-mâché vessel for those who wish for their ashes to be sent out to sea. It's shaped like a sea turtle! And it floats out to sea until it dissolves. Their team served delicious Hawaiian-themed refreshments, including the popular Hawaiian side dish macaroni salad! The IENC members were very impressed!

Older Americans Month is a time to honor the contributions of older adults, recognize aging trends, and strengthen our commitment to supporting seniors in our nation's communities. This year’s theme, “Champion Your Health,” encourages older adults to take charge of their well-being through prevention, wellness, self-advocacy, and informed health decisions that promote independence and healthy aging. This is especially important for Americans who are solo agers: Older adults navigating the aging journey independently. Parent Care empowers older Americans to thrive with dignity and confidence.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, Parent Care is focusing on geriatric mental health and the often-overlooked challenges faced by older adults. Mental health matters at every stage of life, yet many older adults experience conditions that go unrecognized or untreated.
Loneliness and isolation are major risk factors, and mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, dementia-related conditions, substance misuse, and adjustment disorders are common in this population. These challenges can also increase su***de risk. Older adults may face unique stressors, including chronic illness, cognitive decline, grief and loss, retirement transitions, medication effects, and reduced access to care. Mental health symptoms can be difficult to identify due to overlap with medical conditions or cognitive changes, and social stigma may also prevent people from seeking help.
Protective factors such as community engagement, strong family relationships, faith and/or spiritual connection, and peer support can make a meaningful difference.
PCMS wants to normalize conversations about mental health in older adults and support consistent screening to ensure no one is overlooked.
