In previous years, the health department was proud to help sponsor and support this program, so it definitely holds a special place in our hearts. While we’ll miss being directly involved, we are incredibly grateful to Graham County USD 281 for willingly taking over the reins and continuing such an important resource for local kids and families.

Programs like this make a real difference in our community, and we couldn’t be more excited to see it continue and grow! 💛

🌿 Public Health Week is here! 🌿

This week is all about celebrating the work being done to keep our community healthy—and we’re excited to share a little of what we’ve been up to!

It’s been a busy season at the Graham County Health Department:

📚 Conferences & trainings to keep learning and growing
🏗️ Planning for our office remodel
💪 Hosting programs like Matter of Balance
…and so much more behind the scenes!

We are an office of 3, and we truly couldn’t do what we do without our amazing volunteers. 💚

Because of that, there are times we may be out of the office serving the community. But during business hours, calls are always directed to our phones, so we are still here and happy to help you!

We’re excited to partner with the Kansas Food Bank to bring fresh produce to our community! 🍎🥕

⏰ Starts at 11:00 AM
📍 Graham County Health Department
225 N Pomeroy, Hill City

🚗 Drive-thru distribution
📍 Located on the north side of the Health Department (Walnut Street)

➡️ The drive-thru will run west to east ONLY
➡️ Those in line following this direction will be served first
➡️ Walk-ups or vehicles not in the eastbound line will be asked to wait or get in line

Fresh food, no cost, and open to anyone in need—help us spread the word so no one misses out! 💙

🌷 Spring at the Health Department 🌱

Spring is a season of growth. As we watch flowers bloom and grass turn green, we’re also taking opportunities to grow—learning new skills and finding ways to better serve our community.

This time of year is a busy one for us, with staff attending trainings and conferences to bring back valuable knowledge and resources.

Because of that, our appointment availability may vary over the next couple of weeks.

Monday, March 30th – April 1st, there will not be a nurse in the office. However, Alexis will be available to assist with any non-nursing services you may need.
