REMINDER DOTD Public Meeting:

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) is conducting an open house public meeting for the proposed additions of center medians, U-turns, and J-turns along LA 3040 in Houma, Louisiana.

The meeting's purpose is to provide information about the project and obtain input from interested parties. During the meeting, a continuous multimedia presentation about U-turn and J-turn maneuvers will be available, and additional project information will be available.

Representatives from LADOTD will be available at the open house to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project. The meeting will be held at Life Church, 2324 Coteau Rd, Houma, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18.

Information Security Analyst I or II

South Central Planning & Development Commission is accepting resumes for an Information Security Analyst to support the security and compliance program for our agency and its custom-built software. The Information Security Analyst will assist with maintaining the organization’s Information Security Management System, ISO 27001 certification, security policies, risk assessments, internal audits, vulnerability management, incident response, employee security awareness, and customer security questionnaires. This position will also review security alerts and findings, maintain compliance documentation and evidence, and coordinate corrective actions with technology staff and management.

Experience with cybersecurity, information technology, systems administration, auditing, risk management, or regulatory compliance is preferred. Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, Microsoft 365, AWS, vulnerability management, or security monitoring tools is beneficial but not required. Strong analytical, documentation, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required.

Minimum qualifications for an Analyst I are a bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in a related field. Higher levels of experience are needed to qualify for an Analyst II. Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor are preferred but not required.

This is a full-time, salaried position with permanent status and fringe benefits. Benefits include retirement, health/dental/vision/life insurance, short-term disability, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. Starting salary will be approximately $48,000–$90,000 annually, depending on qualification level and experience. A hybrid or remote work situation may be considered. SCPDC is an EOE/AAE.

Data Integration Analyst I or II

South Central Planning & Development Commission is accepting resumes for a Data Integration Analyst to primarily perform, discuss, analyze, and implement data conversions and system integrations for the agency’s custom software. Responsibilities include importing and validating customer data, developing and executing data migration plans, analyzing database structures, troubleshooting data issues, creating import specifications, and assisting customers with data conversion projects. Experience with SQL databases, Microsoft Excel, CSV/XML/JSON file formats, scripting, APIs, or data integration tools is preferred. The position requires analytical decision making, problem solving, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, database design, reporting, and software implementation is beneficial but not required.

Minimum qualifications for an Analyst I are a bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience in a related field. Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of some educational requirements. Higher levels of experience are needed to qualify for an Analyst II.

The Accounting Clerk’s main duty is to handle processing payables, preparing daily deposits, data entry, balancing various spreadsheets & statements, running errands and assisting with other office related task. The individual should possess a high school diploma and have 2 years’ minimum similar work experience. They must also possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. The ideal candidate would be proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word). This is a full-time, hourly position with permanent status and fringe benefits. Starting pay will be approximately $17.80 - $24.00 an hour depending on experience.
