The right to vote did not come without a fight. It was won by generations who organized, marched, and demanded change.

That fight is not over. Congress must honor John Lewis’s legacy, pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, and stop voter suppression once and for all.

Harris County Tejano Democrats was honored to stand alongside elected officials and fellow organizations who continue to fight on the frontlines for every Texan's right to vote.
