Our Student Council candidates are already showing their creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment as they campaign for their desired officer positions!

From eye-catching designs to thoughtful messages, these posters are a great reflection of the leadership spirit growing at Burnett Elementary. We are proud of each student for stepping up, taking a risk, and putting themselves forward to serve their school community.

Good luck to all of our candidates!

Mentorship Matters at Burnett!

Today marked the first Tuesday lunch visit of the year with our wonderful mentors from CrossRoads UMC Houston! Our 2nd & 3rd grade students enjoyed spending time with their mentors, sharing conversations, laughter, and meaningful moments together.

We are so grateful for the time, care, and encouragement our Crossroads UMC mentors pour into our students each week. We look forward to another year filled with meaningful interactions, lasting connections, and positive memories!

Thank you, Crossroads UMC, for continuing to be such an important part of the Burnett family! 💙🦫💙

Homecoming Spirit is in the Air!

Burnett Elementary was proud to be part of the Dobie High School Homecoming Parade! Our students had a blast representing Burnett, showing off their school spirit, and celebrating our future Longhorns!

A HUGE thank you to our amazing parent volunteers who put their time, creativity, and talent into creating our fabulous parade float! Your support helps make special memories for our students and strengthens the connection between Burnett and our future high school.

We loved seeing our Beavers out there cheering on the Longhorns and celebrating Homecoming! 🦫🤘🦫

Share Your Why Wednesday!

This week, we’re excited to hear from our Math Coach, Ms. Gomez, as she shares her “WHY”!

Ms. Gomez plays an important role in supporting our teachers and students as we grow mathematicians who are confident, curious, and ready to tackle new challenges.

Take a moment to hear what inspires her to do what she does each day and why she loves being a part of the Burnett Elementary family! 💙🦫💙
