⚠️ Crime Report | 7-27-2026 📆 | 🌎 Brookline

On July 27, 2026, at approximately 5:02 p.m., Deputy Espinosa was dispatched to a call for service for a terroristic threat at a business located near 2421 S Wayside Dr. Upon further investigation, deputies determined that the female suspect handed a letter to employees demanding money and threatening to blow up the business. Deputies located the suspect nearby and arrested her.

Courtney Henderson was charged for Felony Robbery by Threat and transported to Harris County Jail.

⚠️ Crime Report | 7-22-2026 📆 | 🌎 Second Ward

At approximately 7:16 p.m., Detective Zavala was on patrol near the 600 block of N. York St when she saw a vehicle struck a residential mailbox before colliding with a light pole. Contact with the driver showed glossy eyes, stumbling while walking, and an odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from them. A field sobriety test indicated signs of impairment.

Ruben Mendoza-Vasquez was transported to Harris County Jail where he was booked and charged for DWI.

A team of our Precinct 6 deputies was challenged to a friendly game of basketball by the campers at Community Family Centers' Camp Fresh. 🏀

Who came out on top? We'll just say the campers brought their A-game! Everyone had a great time, shared plenty of laughs, and enjoyed some friendly competition on the court.

Thank you to Community Family Centers , the staff, and all of the campers for welcoming us. We appreciate the opportunity to spend the day with such an amazing group of kids!
