Starting the school year with a little Wildcat magic! 🐾💚

Reflections has been a staple arts program in many schools for over 50 years. Each year, hundreds of SBISD students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

The theme this year is "What My Culture Means to Me." Make sure your school submits their Reflections Chair to the district to receive more information or email "[email protected]" to be added to the list. https://www.txpta.org/reflections

📱 Join your child’s classroom in the Spring Branch ISD TX app!

Download the app and log in using your Google account or the phone number associated with your Skyward account. Because the app pulls information directly from Skyward, your child’s classroom details should appear automatically.

Once logged in, select Rooms on the bottom toolbar. You should see your child or children listed with their teachers.

You should receive a message confirming that your contact information and student details have been synced with the school’s information system.

It’s an easy way to stay connected and receive important classroom updates throughout the school year!

Join your fellow SBISD PTA Executive Board leaders on Thursday, August 20th for PTA -101, to kick-off the upcoming school year. All Executive Board officers, Advocacy, Sister School and Reflections Chairs from SBISD’s 31 PTAs are invited.

Speakers will include:

Dr. Jennifer Blaine, SBISD Superintendent;
Heather Morse, President SBISD Council of PTAs;
Dominique Harvey, VP Advocacy, Texas PTA
The SBISD Council of PTAs board will review PTA basics, provide local and state-wide updates and answer your questions. Learn from local PTA leaders and your peers across the district. Breakout meetings by each position will be held.

📣 Correction Time! (And this one's on us! 😅)

Last week, we shared that Stratford High School PTA had the 3rd highest PTA membership in Texas. That wasn't quite right!

Here's the correct (and even more exciting!) news:

🏆 Stratford High School PTA has the LARGEST PTA membership in the entire state of Texas!
🥈 Memorial High School PTA has the SECOND largest PTA membership in the state!

The "3rd" statistic actually refers to SBISD as a whole, which ranks 3rd in Texas for PTA membership percentage relative to student enrollment.

They're all incredible accomplishments—we just mixed up the stats. Thanks for your understanding, and congratulations again to our amazing PTAs for these outstanding achievements! 🎉👏
