Thanks to our dedicated community sponsors, HSSD CARE Award winners will receive a personal stipend, a grant for their school, and a contribution to the HSEF Endowment Fund. One employee at each building will be recognized for demonstrating positive characteristics that contribute to our caring learning community. These awards were determined through an anonymous peer voting process at each HSSD building. 💜

Third graders wrapped their consumers and producers unit with a fun culminating project: their own classroom Market!They worked collaboratively to design products, make thoughtful decisions about pricing, and engage in buying and selling with their peers. This hands-on experience allowed them to apply their learning in a meaningful and engaging way.

In addition, students deepened their understanding of money and financial literacy through lessons from Junior Achievement. These experiences helped reinforce important concepts such as earning, spending, and making responsible financial choices.
