We are so proud that the 2026 Packerland Rotary Scholarship recipients annoiunced last week happened to also be Interact members (high school service club sponsored by Rotary) of the Bayport Interact Club. These two have striven to live by the Rotary Four-Way Test:

Of the thinigs we think, say and do:
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

The Packerland Sunrise Rotary Club is excited to announce this year’s scholarship recipients from Bay Port High School’s graduating class of 2026, Ella Vanden Hoogen and Sofia Gomez Zapata.

Ella will be attending the Carroll University in the fall. She is the daughter of Chad and Christine Vanden Hoogen. Sofia will be attending Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. She is the daughter of Octavio Gomez and Vera Zapata. We wish Ella and Sofia the best as they continue their education.

One of Rotary’s goals is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy. We support education for all children and literacy for children and adults. Recipients of this scholarship are chosen based on financial need, community service, and their educational and career goals.

A project that Rotarians have been working on for many decades. We're so close but won't give up until this terrible disease that hits kids mostly, is eradicated from the world.
