Kaitlyn Granger ’21 recently brought her work “Vessels in Balance: Tracing the Currents of Invasive Species” to Rothrock Outfitters, co-owned by Harry Biddle ’20 and Emil Eklund ’17, sharing a hand-painted canoe created during her Raystown Field Station Artist-in-Residence experience.

Rooted in her work as a Juniata staff member and her continued engagement as an alum, the piece explores the movement and impact of invasive species through a lens of art, ecology, and place-based learning.

The work will be presented again at noon on Friday, June 26, at the Huntingdon County Library, extending its reach into the broader community.

The Huntingdon County Humane Society visited us today with four adorable kittens, and we had an absolute blast! We enjoyed a story together and spent time petting, playing, and making some new fuzzy friends.

If you fell in love today (and honestly… who could blame you?), the Humane Society has many kittens, cats, and dogs available for adoption. Stop by and meet your future best friend! And if you’re able, they’re always grateful for donations of kitty litter to help care for all of their animals.

Thank you to the Humane Society for spending time with us.
