We spent the past 13 weeks in Saint Louis and found some really cool spots to take our 2 year old. I know we didn’t get to do everything, but these were some of our favorites!

Two things we ALWAYS do before leaving our home on wheels for an extended amount of time!

1. Put a coin on top of frozen water in the freezer (it can be in a glass, bowl, whatever as long as it’s frozen BEFORE placing the coin on top!) That way if you lose power and your freezer thaws out, but re-freezes before you get back, you’ll know and can throw out any spoiled food! (The coin would be at the BOTTOM of the water instead of on top if the freezer stopped working!)

2. Always, always, ALWAYS turn off your water!!! I’ve seen people leave for just a few hours and something happened and water was pouring out of the bottom of their camper! It is not a mess you want to have!

For so long I would try to find the perfect water temperature by adjusting the hot & cold water faucets in the shower, but then I found out to just reset the temperature on our control panel so that I had the perfect temperature every time!

We have severe weather predicted for tomorrow, so instead of staying in the camper we are actually renting an Airbnb that has a basement just for peace of mind!
