Cheers to one year of Butler Pass! 🎉

In partnership with Butler University, Pacers Bikeshare added three stations in August 2025 to the historic campus, providing students, faculty, and staff with no-cost access and promoting active, sustainable transportation. The Butler Pass enhances connectivity to surrounding neighborhoods and Indy’s cultural districts.

Since it's debut, the Butler Pass has resulted in:
🚲 20,782 trips taken
🚲 1,030 active pass holders
🚲 260,218 minutes ridden
🚲 27,398 miles ridden
🚲 25,717 lbs carbon offset
🚲 1,077,410 calories burned

Those stats mean that in just one year Butler Pass holders took enough rides to make it around the entire world, had a hand in saving 1,300+ gallons of gas by riding bikes, and burned the equivalent calories of running 360 marathons!

Here's to many more years of Butler Pass! Learn more about this strategic partnership: https://www.butler.edu/campus-services/parking/alternative-transportation/bikeshare/

Did you know there are 118 stormwater planters along the Cultural Trail?🪻

Stormwater planters, also called rain gardens or bioswales, are a type of green infrastructure that helps manage rainwater. These planters quietly help keep our city streets and the Cultural Trail from flooding during heavy rainfall. Additionally, these rain gardens are home to plants like native hibiscus and marsh milkweed which provide beautiful pops of color and habitats for species like monarch butterflies and hummingbirds.

You can learn more about our stormwater planters, native habitats, and what's in bloom in our urban gardens THIS SATURDAY on our FREE monthly Blooms & Bikes group bike ride.

What if one of the most meaningful gifts you ever make doesn't cost you anything today?

August is Make-a-Will Month, and it's a reminder that creating or updating your will isn't only about what you leave behind. It's about what you choose to carry forward.

Many people assume planned giving is only for retirees or millionaires. It isn't.

A planned gift can fit almost any stage of life. It can also become one of the most lasting investments you make in the places you love.
If the Indianapolis Cultural Trail has been part of your story, whether it's your bike commute, your weekend walk, your first date, your marathon training route, or simply your favorite place to clear your head, consider making it part of your legacy.

Because Indianapolis deserves places that connect people for generations to come.

➡️ Learn more about leaving a legacy with the Cultural Trail by visiting our website or reaching out for a conversation.
