Westminster Neighborhood Services, Inc. (WNS) serves families and children on Indianapolis' Near Eastside, where 43 percent of residents live at or near the poverty line. For these families, stress, joblessness and hunger are often daily struggles. WNS works with the neighborhood, religious organizations and community partners to serve local families by:
1. Providing children’s programs that meet

nurturing, safety, educational, and developmental needs
2. Providing food and clothing to meet the basic needs of neighborhood families

Kids from the Near Eastside spent this summer at Westminster. They swam at the pool, planted a garden with Miss Mandy, and painted a mural in our dining room.

One parent wrote to tell us her son is already asking how long until next summer.

We recently got a special boost from the "Kind Kids Club."

Two incredible volunteers - the grandkids of a longtime Westminster supporter - joined us during their school break to host a lemonade stand, donating their proceeds to help our neighbors.

Thank you to John Arbuckle and Arbuckle & Sons Landscaping for donating time at Westminster Neighborhood Services.

John cleared overgrowth near our parking lot gate and fence and removed invasive honeysuckle and a large patch of poison ivy. Small projects like this keep our building safe and welcoming for neighbors, volunteers, and staff. We are grateful for the help.
