For 200 years, the White River was one of the most polluted waterways in the country. Now it's clean enough to kayak, fish, and paddleboard, and AFAR just published a great guide to getting out on it.

We're glad to see our partners' work getting national attention, and there's a bit of our own news in the story: this month, we're opening a new river access site right at our headquarters, with concrete steps down to a gravel beach.

Big thanks to everyone who's put in years cleaning up this river and getting Indy back on the water. Give it a read 🛶 https://www.afar.com/magazine/a-guide-to-visiting-indianapoliss-white-river

After 200 years as one of the most polluted waterways in the country, Indianapolis's White River is clean enough to kayak, fish, and paddleboard—and the city is building a whole new identity around it.
