IDAAC Indy is dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of African Americans in the planning, decision making, electoral efforts, and overall progress.

The Indiana Democrat African American Caucus is charged with the creation and implementation of political and educational programs that empower African Americans to be primary stakeholders in the Democratic Party. The organization, founded in 1972, promotes active participation of African Americans in local, state, and national levels of the Democratic process, supporting the rights of the African Americans to play an integral role in governmental and political leadership.

For IDAAC-Indy, our meetings are about more than politics. They are also about access.

Access to community leaders.
Access to candidates seeking public office.
And access to a network of people committed to being engaged in what happens in our communities.

IDAAC-Indy will hold its last meeting before the November midterm election, and we want both our longtime members and those interested in learning more about IDAAC to join us.

We will welcome Democratic candidates running for office in Marion County, along with candidates seeking statewide office.

MCDP will be training Precinct Committeepersons and Vice PCs on best practices for engaging voters in their precincts. All PCs and Vice PCs are welcome to attend. Snacks and water will be provided.
