The first day of school is August 13th, and we can't wait to welcome our scholars back for another incredible year of learning, growth, and new opportunities!

Here are a few reminders to help your family get ready:

✅ Set out school clothes and supplies the night before.

✅ Get a good night's sleep.

✅ Arrive a few minutes early to make the morning stress-free.

✅ Bring your biggest smile, we're excited to see you!

❤️ Happy Independence Day! ❤️

Today, we celebrate 250 years of freedom, opportunity, and the enduring spirit of our nation. As we gather with family and friends, let us reflect on the values that unite us, liberty, perseverance, and hope for a brighter future. Wishing all of our scholars, families, staff, and community members a safe and joyful Fourth of July filled with celebration and pride.

Congratulations to Ryan Connell on being selected by the Miami Heat! 🔥🏀

This incredible milestone is made even more special by the people who helped shape the journey. Ryan was joined at his NBA Draft celebration by Phalen Leadership Academy's very own, Mr. Lawrence Courtney, Principal of GVP.

For years, Mr. Courtney has been more than an educator—he has been Ryan's basketball trainer and mentor since he was a young athlete, helping develop not only his game but his character. Seeing him stand beside Ryan on one of the biggest nights of his life is a powerful reminder of the lasting impact mentors can have.

From the gym to the league—this is what dedication, perseverance, and community look like.

Congratulations, Ryan! The entire Phalen family is proud of you and can't wait to watch your journey in the NBA! ❤️🖤

Juneteenth reminds us that freedom is not just a date on a calendar. It is a living promise, one that our scholars, families, and educators carry forward every single day inside our classrooms and beyond.

Celebrating freedom, resilience, culture, and the continued pursuit of equality.

At Phalen Leadership Academies, this day deepens our commitment to building schools where every scholar is seen, valued, and empowered to reach their full potential. Because when we invest in our children, we honor every generation that came before them.
