Today, members of the Johnston Police Department proudly participated in the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run, joining law enforcement agencies from across the state in support of the incredible athletes of Special Olympics Rhode Island.

Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and showed their support along the route. It was a privilege to be part of this special event.

🚨 Attention Runaway/Missing Juvenile 🚨

Identified as Rayne Medina. Juvenile attended school earlier in the day and was last seen yesterday after being dropped at a bus stop on Paolino Street in Johnston. She’s described as a 14 year old, white female 4’11” - 5’ in height and 105-110 lbs, she has long dark straight hair, last seen wearing a light gray shirt, hunting themed jeans, gray sneakers, carrying a black backpack, silver jewelry, she does have several piercings in each ear and a nose ring.

We are proud to congratulate the newest members of the Johnston Police Department on successfully completing the 146th Session of the Rhode Island Municipal Police Training Academy. Carlos Dominguez and Damien Viera were officially sworn in as probationary officers by Mayor Joseph Polisena Jr., alongside Chief Mark Vieira.
