๐Ÿพ HUGE MILESTONE FOR THE TRI-TOWN ANIMAL SHELTER! ๐Ÿพ

We are incredibly proud to share that the Tri-Town Animal Shelter (serving North Providence, Johnston, and Smithfield) achieved a 90% save rate for the 2025 calendar year!

The shelter has been recognized by the Best Friends Animal Society for reaching this important No-Kill milestone, and each of our three communities will receive a special plaque recognizing this accomplishment.

Reaching this goal takes extraordinary dedication, teamwork, and experience. We want to recognize our dedicated Animal Control Officers who bring over 106 years of combined experience to our towns:

โ€ข North Providence ACO Ernest Calandra: 30 years of service
โ€ข Johnston ACO Richard Sousa: Over 50 years of service
โ€ข Smithfield ACO Robert Salisbury: 26 years of service

Thank you to our dedicated ACOs, shelter staff, volunteers, rescue partners, veterinarians, fosters, adopters, and supportive residents for giving so many animals a second chance!

Three Towns. One Shelter. Over 106 Years of Experience.
