Miss Melyssa here! Hope you are all having a great summer!!! Things have been so busy in the art room that I have been slacking on posting…. BUT this week my 8-12 year class learned about Chinese art, specifically the themes they used in vases, plates, etc. They then designed noodle bowls and made these super cute mixed media projects. My 7-8 year olds were introduced to the art of Keith Haring and made these fun Haring-esque creations. And my 5-6 year olds learned about the color wheel, and primary and secondary colors and made these painter’s palette people. We are half way through summer classes but the library has plenty of really great programs happening. You can get more info at mohrlibrary.org.
