Juneau Community Charter School - JCCS Inspiring curious minds from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Play: We embrace children’s natural ability to learn and create through play and exploration.

Family Engagement: We involve families directly in the classroom and to help govern our school. Project-Based Learning: We promote the social nature of learning by facilitating authentic, integrated projects that are hands-on and allow for meaningful choice. Constructivist Learning: We provide experiences for students to actively build knowledge through experiments, real world problem solving and opportunities to reflect in a collaborative learning environment. Community-Based Learning: We immerse students in the world outside the classroom through frequent field trips and community service. Restorative Practices: We guide the learning that takes place during conflict, negotiation, problem-solving, and resolution. Alternative Assessment Strategies: We appraise student growth through formative assessments, observational narratives, portfolios, presentations and self-reflection. Program Highlights

JCCS Fundraiser- This is a fun way to show school spirit while raising funds to support future student projects and activities.
