This is what happens when you feed the mentally ill homeless who are dealing with Mental illness and chemical dependencies. You give them a reason not to seek help. You may convince yourself that your small gesture helps them, but all you're really doing is enabling them to continue to go deeper into that darkness of drug addiction and mental illness And petty crime, to use more drugs, to commit crimes in the local areas that affect residents and the businesses, to trespass. You're not helping them get better in any way. And when you facilitate that behavior, it affects every resident in the community and every small business in the area, and it traumatizes kupuna who Frequent the area.
