Alaska residents: Your voice matters! The UAA College of Health is conducting a vital statewide survey on health and injury experiences to help improve programs and services for all Alaskans.

You or someone in your household may have received a letter or postcard inviting you to complete a quick screening questionnaire as part of the survey. This screener helps improve the quality of our study. All responses are completely anonymous and confidential.

Look for your UAA Health & Injury Survey invite in the mail TODAY. Selected participants who complete the screener and survey are eligible to receive a gift card as a thank you. Your input helps represent every corner of our state. Questions? Email: [email protected]

✨ Your Mind Matters ✨
With the sunshine returning and days getting brighter, it’s the perfect reminder to care for your mental well-being. 🌞
Take time to step outside, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy a peaceful walk. Spend quality moments with your family, laugh a little more, and create memories that lift your spirit. 💛
Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated—sometimes it’s as simple as slowing down and choosing joy in the little things.
Remember, taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body. You deserve moments of peace, happiness, and connection every single day.

You are not defined by what was done to you; you are defined by your resilience. You are worthy of love, care, and gentleness.

April is Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Tomorrow is is Wear Teal Day.
A day to stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence and show that they are not alone.

Wearing teal may seem simple, but it sends a powerful message of support, visibility, and belief. It helps break the silence and reminds survivors that there is a community that sees them and stands with them.

If you received one, we encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your responses help researchers better understand health and injury trends across Alaska and help inform programs and resources for communities across the state.

Selected participants who complete the survey are eligible to receive a gift card as a thank you.
