Did you know that the Office on Aging at CAC has programs that help benefit the aging population by helping their pets? The Feed-a-Pet program was put in place because seniors were giving their food to their pets and would go without eating.

We are still facing difficulties with this issue due to rising costs. This is difficult on the aging population in Knox County who may only have their animals for support.

We do have a wish list page on Chewy.com and Amazon.com that shows the approved items we are allowed to accept. You can also make monthly or one time monetary donations also.

If you decide to make a monetary donation, 100 percent of the proceeds are applied towards the Feed-a-Pet program.
Big or small, all approved items or money received is greatly appreciated!

Don't miss your chance to give your purses a purpose by donating them to the Power of the Purse® fundraiser 👛✨ Now through August, Mobile Meals is collecting new or like new purses and jewelry to support our fabulous annual event that helps provide thousands of meals and safety checks for homebound seniors across Knox County. Drop off your donations at any of the businesses below during their hours of operation:

What if you can no longer drive? Do you have a plan? Nancy Welch, with Volunteer Assisted Transportation will provide helpful information on how to plan ahead for medical procedures, long term or temporary medical issues and other appointments. She will discuss local transportation options, resources, and how to plan for your future transportation needs.

The Grandparents as Parents Program will be collecting school supply donations through July 31. You can drop off supplies at the O'Connor Senior Center or any Knox County Senior Center.
Supplies that are needed include:
Backpacks with computer compartments
Green/Red Pens
Plastic Folders

Colored Pencils
Crayons
Headphones
Earbuds
Tissue Boxes
Glue Sticks
Pencil Boxes
