We’re proud to be a Community Investment Grants funded partner with United Way of Greater Knoxville !

This investment helps Childhelp Tennessee continue providing critical services through our Mental Health Program and Child Advocacy Center, ensuring that children impacted by abuse, trauma, and difficult life circumstances have access to the support and healing they deserve.

Because of partnerships like United Way, children can receive trauma-informed counseling, families can access vital resources, and young people can begin rebuilding hope after some of life's most challenging experiences. Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and supported, and this funding helps make that possible for hundreds of children and families across East Tennessee.

We are deeply grateful for United Way's commitment to strengthening our community and investing in the well-being of local children. Together, we are creating brighter futures and helping children move from crisis to healing, hope, and resilience.

Childhelp Tennessee mourns the passing of Tom Spangler, a dedicated public servant whose impact on our community will be felt for generations. Throughout his life and career, he exemplified what it means to serve others with integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment. He was not only a respected leader, but also a steadfast advocate for the well-being of children and families, setting a powerful example of what it means to be a true champion for children. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his service. His legacy of leadership, kindness, and service will not be forgotten. 💙

Today, we celebrate Sara O’Meara, co founder of Childhelp and a lifelong advocate for children. 💙

Since 1959, Sara has dedicated her life to helping create a world where every child can grow up safe, loved, and free from abuse and neglect.

For more than six decades, she has helped lead our mission to bring awareness to child abuse, support children in crisis, and inspire healing and hope.

Sara has always said that her greatest teachers are the children of Childhelp. Their courage, resilience, and hope continue to inspire her every day. ❤️

Today, we celebrate Sara and the incredible legacy she continues to build: a safer, brighter future for children everywhere. Happy Birthday, Sara! 🎉💙

Our clinical teams across all three Childhelp Tennessee locations recently kicked off the new fiscal year with a little team building and connection over coffee. Each office gathered at a local coffee shop to celebrate the year ahead, strengthen relationships, and enjoy time together outside of the office. Here's to another year of making a difference for the children and families we serve! ☕💙

Thank you to for donating the supplies for 32 Sweet Cases duffle bags for children in our foster care program and to the CGI interns for helping decorate some of the bags.

We also loved welcoming some of the University of Tennessee freshman class, who stopped by the CAC during their service-day orientation to complete the decorating and stuff each duffle bag with those donated essentials and comfort items.

We're grateful to both groups for investing in our community and helping support the children in East Tennessee.
