Lake Worth ISD your future. WORTH it Elections take place in November of each year. Persons elected to the Board serve three-year terms. followed by a 7:00 P.M. open meeting.

The Lake Worth Independent School District is governed by a seven-member Board of Education elected by the registered voters of the District. The Board of Trustees develop policies and set goals to insure that all students in the District receive a high quality education. The Board holds regular public meetings on the third Monday of the month in the James Hodgkins Administration Building at 6805

Telephone Road. Meetings begin with a closed meeting at 6:00 P.M. All items requiring action discussed in the closed session must be voted on in the open meeting. Citizens may voice concerns about particular items on the agenda. To do so, one must register with the recording secretary before the scheduled meeting begins. Presentations must be limited to five minutes each.

🍽️ Free Supper Meals Are Available for Our Bullfrog Families!

Lake Worth ISD Child Nutrition is proud to provide a free supper meal service Monday–Thursday for children and youth ages 18 and younger.

Whether students are staying after school for activities, heading home, or simply need a nutritious meal, our supper program is here to help make sure our Bullfrogs have access to the meals they need to thrive.

The first day of the 2026–2027 school year is officially in the books! From the moment our doors opened, our campuses were filled with smiling faces, excited students, dedicated teachers, and the energy that makes Lake Worth ISD so special.

To our students: thank you for bringing your energy, curiosity, and Bullfrog Pride to the first day. To our families and staff: thank you for helping make today such a great start to the school year.

💚 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS HERE!

The wait is over, Bullfrogs! Today, we officially kick off the 2026–2027 school year, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome our students back to Lake Worth ISD!

From the first smiles at the bus stop to the first bell, first classroom, and first new opportunity, today marks the beginning of another year filled with learning, growth, meaningful connections, and new possibilities.

To our students: Bring your curiosity. Bring your courage. Bring your best. This is your year to learn, lead, grow, and discover your future.

To our families: Thank you for trusting us with what matters most. We are honored to partner with you throughout the year.

🎒 The 2026–2027 school year is almost here, and we’ve created a Back-to-School Checklist to help our families get ready for the first day of school on Tuesday, August 11!

Our checklist brings together some of the most important things families need to review before school starts:

✓ Registration — Make sure your student is registered and ready for the new school year.

✓ Transportation & Bus Routes — Find your student’s bus route and review transportation information.

✓ School Supply List — Check your student’s school supply list and make sure they have what they need.

✓ Dress Code — Review Lake Worth ISD dress code expectations before the first day.

✓ New Start & Release Times — Make sure your family is familiar with the updated school start and dismissal times for 2026–2027.

✓ ParentSquare App — Download the ParentSquare app to stay connected with important district and campus communications.

⏰ UPDATED SCHOOL HOURS FOR THE 2026–2027 SCHOOL YEAR

Bullfrog families, please take note of our updated school start and dismissal times for the 2026–2027 school year. These changes will help families plan morning routines, transportation, and afternoon schedules before the first day of school on Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

Here are the new hours:

Elementary Schools — Pre-K through 5th Grade
Start: 8:00 AM
Doors Open: 7:15 AM
Dismissal: 3:30 PM
Breakfast: 7:15–7:45 AM

Lucyle Collins Middle School — 6th through 8th Grade
Start: 8:30 AM
Doors Open: 7:45 AM
Dismissal: 4:15 PM
Breakfast: 7:45–8:15 AM

Lake Worth High School — 9th through 12th Grade
Start: 8:30 AM
Doors Open: 7:45 AM
Dismissal: 4:30 PM
Breakfast: 7:45–8:15 AM

🌅🐸 SUNRISE ON THE CLASS OF 2027!

Lake Worth High School’s Class of 2027 kicked off their senior year this morning with a special Senior Sunrise! 🌅

From breakfast and games to photo props and plenty of memories with classmates, our seniors came together to celebrate the beginning of a year they’ll never forget.

Senior year is here, Bullfrogs! We can’t wait to see all that the Class of 2027 will accomplish this year.

One year. One class. So many memories still to make. 💚🐸
