Here at Willkie our band directors are so wonderful they get to teach the teachers! Mrs. Shaffer and Mrs. Boyd are the best of the best and give time out of their summer to make sure our newest EMSISD fine arts directors have the tools they need to be successful! Great job ladies working the Willkie Way!

Students will be welcomed independently at 5:30pm to participate in games, tours, and learning the “Willkie Way!” Parent meeting starts at 6:30pm in the cafeteria, please grab a treat from Tom’s Coffee or Kona Ice and join us back at 6:30pm.

🖤❤️ Welcome to Willkie! ❤️🖤

Please help us welcome Officer James Roberts to the Badger family! He will be serving as our SBLE Officer at Ed Willkie Middle School.

“Hello, my name is James Roberts. I am currently assigned to Ed Willkie MS as the SBLE Officer. I am 61 years old and have been married to my wife, Dietra Roberts, for 29 years. We have four sons and three granddaughters.

Prior to joining EMS ISD, I served the City of Fort Worth as a Police Officer for 31 years, including serving as a School Resource Officer before retiring. I am also the Pastor of Walking In Faith Ministries in east Fort Worth, where I boldly serve the Lord.

I have a host of hobbies which include attending and watching sporting events, golfing, fishing, and attending car shows to show off my 1968 Chevrolet Impala, which I affectionately nicknamed ‘Baby Girl.’

I am truly excited to be a part of the Ed Willkie family, and I’m looking forward to a great school year and the opportunity to work, fellowship, and grow with the students and staff of the Badger Nation. Thank you all so much for the warm welcome that I have received so far, and I look forward to a safe and prosperous school year!”

My name is Vivian Figueroa, and I am one of the new paraprofessionals at Ed Willkie Middle School. This school year marks the start of my career within EMS ISD, and I am excited for what this journey has in store.

To share a bit about myself, I married my high school sweetheart last September, and we have a beautiful daughter who is also new to EMS ISD. Outside of school hours, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to my daughter’s softball games, reading, crafting, and watching movies.

I can’t wait to spend the school year with each and every one of you!”
