We are thrilled to partner with the Macomb Township Parks and Recreation Dept for the 3rd year to provide an event that is fun and inclusive for the entire community.

Heads up! Once again this year, we will be encouraging participant to allow for a quieter hour from 10:00am until 11:00am for those with sensory sensitivities. We ask that you please try to refrain from honking truck horns during this hour.

Additionally, we excited to share that MTPR is partnering with the Autism Society of Greater Detroit to provide a Decompression Tent equipped with sensory friendly headphones, stress balls, white noise and more with so that everyone can enjoy the fun all event long!

We hope to see you there!🚚🚒

📸 Calling Detroit photographers + videographers — we're looking for one (or a small team) to help us capture something special.
On Sunday, May 17, the Autism Society of Greater Detroit returns to Comerica Park for our 4th Annual Autism Acceptance Day with the Detroit Tigers. Families will be enjoying the inclusive afternoon at the ballpark & making their signs, and we'd love to have someone there to capture it for us.

What we're hoping for:
🎥 A few hours of your time on game day
📷 A set of photos + short video clips we can use for future marketing, our website, and social
✨ Your eye for the moments we'd otherwise miss
What we can offer in return:
🎟️ A complimentary ticket to the game as well as access to the Party Deck
📣 Full credit + tags on every piece of content we post using your work
🤝 A line on your resume / portfolio supporting a nonprofit partnership with an MLB team
💛 The chance to be part of a day that means a lot to a lot of families.

If this sounds like you — or you know someone — please DM us or email [email protected]. We'd love to chat.

Please share this post! The right person might be one tag away. ⬇️

Autistic voices matter.

When Autistic people share their ideas, experiences, and perspectives, our communities grow stronger and more understanding.

Carl The Collector brings together a diverse production team of neurodivergent and neurotypical writers, advisors, and voice talent to shape the stories, characters, and world of Fuzzytown.

At the Autism Society of America, Autistic leaders help guide the conversation, because nothing about us should happen without us.
And just like Carl and his friends show us, everyone deserves to be heard.

Everyone deserves a place where they feel welcome, understood, and valued.

In Carl’s world, friends make space for each other, whether that means sharing interests, respecting sensory needs (like Lotta wearing headphones to block out loud sounds), or simply listening.

The Autism Society of America works to build communities just like that: places where Autistic people of all ages belong. 💛

Carl loves collecting things, and every item in his collection is important to him, like his pet rock collection!

Autistic people are unique that way, too. Each person has their own interests, ideas, talents, and ways of seeing the world. Those differences aren’t something to hide - they’re something to celebrate. 🌟

At the Autism Society of America, we believe the world is better when every Autistic person gets to shine in their own unique way.

Friendship doesn’t mean everyone is the same. It means we care about each other’s differences.

Carl and his friends know that the best friendships make space for everyone, whether someone needs quiet, loves sharing their favorite collections, or just wants a buddy to sit beside. When Carl or any of his friends are feeling down, they help each other feel better by going on a bike ride together.

When we understand and support each other, friendship grows stronger. 💛

That’s what the Autism Society of America is all about, helping create communities where Autistic people belong.
