The Seagull poster, by MI artist Gary Grimshaw, celebrated its 60th anniversary this month with an exhibition at the Pontiac Creative Arts Center. Gary created this poster for the inaugural Grande Ballroom concert, featuring the MC5, in 1966. Laura Grimshaw, Gary’s widow, is pictured here with a special, limited edition giant reproduction of Seagull which was purchased by the Foundation for the Library of Michigan‘s MI Music Experience collection. Foundation donors make these purchases possible. Thank you! Watch for future posts on this and other posters we acquired.
