National First Responders Day!

Today, we honor the dedicated men and women of Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS, and 911 Dispatch who answer the call and serve our communities with courage, compassion, and commitment.

In a community like ours, being a first responder means more than answering emergencies. It means serving our neighbors, protecting our friends and families, and being there for one another when it matters most.

We are proud to serve alongside our fellow first responders and grateful for the unwavering support our community continues to show us.

Thank you to those who serve and to the community that stands behind us. ❤️🖤💛

Great reminder from Billings Fire Department.

**FRIENDLY REMINDER: SLOW DOWN. PAY ATTENTION. LIVES DEPEND ON IT.

These photos show the aftermath of an SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) being run over by a vehicle at an emergency scene.

Thankfully, this was equipment and not a firefighter.

When you approach an emergency scene, please remember that firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, and other emergency responders may be working just feet away from moving traffic.

We ask every driver to:
- 🚨 Slow down and move over when approaching emergency vehicles.
- 🚨 Stay alert and eliminate distractions.
- 🚨 Follow directions from emergency personnel.
- 🚨 Never drive through an emergency scene unless directed to do so.
- 🚨 Give responders the space they need to work safely.

Remember: Montana law requires drivers to slow down and move over when approaching qualifying emergency vehicles. It's not just a courtesy. It's the law.

An air pack can be replaced. A life cannot.

Our firefighters show up every day to protect your families. Please help protect ours.

What an incredible evening at our Safety Complex Open House!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out last night to visit, explore the apparatus, meet our first responders, and enjoy some fun with us!

Seeing the smiles, excitement, and curiosity from the kids (and adults!) is a great reminder of why we love what we do.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support our community shows Laurel Fire Rescue and all of our first responders. We are proud to serve this community, and even prouder to be part of it!
