Today, we pause to remember and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it is a day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance for those who never made it home.

At Laurel Fire Rescue, we are forever thankful for the courage, dedication, and selflessness of our fallen heroes. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As you spend time with family and friends today, we encourage everyone to take a moment to remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Gone, but never forgotten. 🇺🇸

On behalf of the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department Association:

Below is the information and map for the 4th of July fireworks show!

All areas marked in green will be open to the public for seating and viewing during the festivities. We ask that if you choose to attend the celebration at the park, please clean up after yourself and your group. We also remind everyone that it is illegal to discharge personal fireworks within the park or anywhere inside the designated show area.

All areas marked in orange indicate the predetermined safety standoff zone for the fireworks display. These areas will be barricaded with fencing. For everyone’s safety, please do not attempt to enter these zones, as doing so could result in the cancellation of the show.

The areas marked in blue and purple are reserved for VIP seating and our sound crew. These sections will be cordoned off with orange fencing. Please do not remove, move, or alter the layout of these areas. Entrance will be limited to those with designated wristbands. Anyone found in these areas without proper wristband access will be asked to leave.

The area marked in red will be reserved for our first responders. Both Laurel Fire Rescue and Laurel Ambulance will be staged in this area with apparatus following the parade and throughout the evening. We ask that you do not block the intersection at 1st Avenue and 6th Street, as this will serve as the primary response access point for emergency personnel. This area will also be fenced and clearly marked. Please do not alter or enter these designated emergency response areas.

The picnic shelter will remain open prior to the start of the fireworks show. We will continue ticket sales at this location up until showtime. Our annual raffle ticket sales will also begin on Monday, June 15th, along with our traditional boot drive fundraiser.

This fireworks display is, and always has been, 100% funded through raffle ticket sales, our boot drive, generous public donations, and corporate sponsors. We truly appreciate everyone who continues to support and help keep this long-standing tradition alive.

We are excited to celebrate with you on July 4th, 2026, as we honor the 250th Anniversary of our great nation.

Laurel Fire currently has one resource with two firefighters on this fire assisting Sweet Grass County.

Remembering folks, things are very dry and fires can grow quickly. Stay up to date with current restrictions and always be fire aware.

Here are a few photos that our firefighters took while working the East Side Fire in Red Lodge. Our two firefighters got back last night for a crew swap. A new crew will be headed back down to the East Side Fire today.

This fire proves just how dry and explosive fires can get in our current conditions. Please be fire aware as we head into fire season.
