Last night's BOO-KS BEFORE BED was an extremely well-attended spooky hit!

Thank you to Ms. Amanda Hamlin-Hochler for organizing the event, Katie O'Neil (Executive Director of the Town Library) for leading the group reading, to every Morris staff member who dressed up and made the evening so enjoyable, to the students from LMMHS who lent a hand with the spirited decorations, to our Custodians for the set-up and clean-up, and to the amazing PTO for donating a book to every child who participated.

A great time was had by all!

27% more pedestrian crashes involving injury or death occur in October (2020–2024) compared with the average month nationwide.

An October 22, 2026 analysis of federal NHTSA data found an average of 7,288 pedestrian crashes involving injury or death each October (the highest of any month across the five-year period).

It's National School Bus Safety Week.

Please, please, please stop for the red flashing lights of a stopped school bus and for our Crossing Guard.

Thank you for being extra cautious this time of year when the sun is lower in the sky and shining directly into driver's eyes, making it difficult to see students crossing the road.

Berkshire Agricultural Ventures is leading a new farm-to-school program that brings beef from local farmers into K-12 schools in Massachusetts. Lenox Public Schools is one of those schools.

Matt Sheffer of Cherry Point Beef, one of the participating farmers, says the goal is strong regional food systems and wholesome food for kids.

The Town of Lenox is updating its Open Space and Recreation Plan and needs our help!

The more input and opinions the more the priorities, policy decisions, investment strategies, and open space projects will reflect what families hope to see. LPS has been asked to help spread the word.

The survey can be open with this QR code or this link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LenoxOSRP and will available from September 26th through December 1st, 2026.

The Town will conduct public forums to present the results of the survey in the New Year and proposed Goals, Objectives, and Actions for the updated plan.
