As Juneteenth approaches, Bluegrass DSA invites you to join us at 3pm Saturday, June 13th for our Pre-Juneteenth Educational Speaking Engagement with Attica Scott 🌹
This event is a focused learning opportunity for topics such as The History of Juneteenth, Labor History in Relation to Slavery, and Black Organizing History in America.
Kentucky community organizer/activist/politician Attica Scott () will be at the union hall for a brief lecture and Q&A session.
We will be providing brochures of educational materials (books, podcasts, documentaries) curated by UofL Pan-African Studies Professor Dr. Story () and Attica Scott for attendees.
There will be food and refreshments provided by local black-owned businesses.
This is an excellent opportunity to diversify your perspective on organizing. We hope to see you all there!
