This week, Library Director Christy Keyes was honored to speak on leadership skills at the Florida Library Association's annual conference. It was a privilege to share best practices and represent the City of Lighthouse Point at this statewide event. Many thanks to co-presenter Jami Hommerbocker and FLA President Allison Grubbs for their ongoing support.

Thank you to the 260+ residents who came out on Saturday to celebrate the completion of library construction at “Wild About the Library.” Guests enjoyed wildlife shows, a scavenger hunt, crafts, therapy dogs, treats, and prizes. Your support and enthusiasm made the event a wonderful success!

Attention Lighthouse Point residents ages 62 and over!!! The lottery for SUMMER CDBG classes is NOW OPEN. Please stop by the library during business hours before Friday, May 22 to fill out your forms and select your class preferences in the lottery. Proof of Lighthouse Point residency and age is required by the grant. Visit lighthousepointlibrary.com for a list of Fall CDBG classes.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Leadership North Broward Class of 2026! This incredible program equips current and emerging leaders with the tools they need to grow through hands-on training, engaging workshops, and immersive field experiences.

We were delighted to showcase our newly renovated library and share a glimpse into the wide range of services and resources we offer. Thank you for visiting—we look forward to seeing all that this talented group will accomplish!

Nico attended today's story time in his full NASA gear with matching star Crocs! He told us it was for Artemis II's landing day. He headed home with a pile of wonderful space books Dr. Molly helped him find.
