What could be scarier (or more fun!) than trying to escape Dracula at the library on Halloween?! 🧛🖤 It’s 1897 and you’re on a trip to Transylvania, where you’ve been invited to stay in Count Dracula’s castle. Unaware of his true nature, you accepted his offer and have now found yourself trapped in his castle. Luckily for you, a previous visitor to the castle, Jonathan Harker, has left behind clues to help you defeat Dracula and escape.

Please call 925-373-5505 to sign up for one of these four timeslots:
1 p.m. | 1:30 p.m. | 2 p.m. | 2:30 p.m.
Teams will have 20 minutes to uncover these clues, solve the puzzles, and escape. Will you be able to defeat Dracula or will you be trapped in his castle for all eternity? Let’s find out... 🧛

Call to register kids (ages 8-12) for an educational event to learn about the diet of magnificent birds of prey. Participants will dissect sterilized owl pellets to find the bones of the animals the owls have eaten. Instructions and supplies will be provided for this free event. Space is limited, so registration is required.

🏵️ 🖍️ 🪔 Everyone is welcome to stop by Rincon Library on Friday Nov. 6 between 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. to help decorate the patio for Diwali with colorful Rangoli chalk art. Rangoli, which translates to an array of colors, is a traditional Indian art form depicted as a sign of welcome in household entrances. Free for all ages. No registration needed.

Spiderman celebrated Trunk or Treat this year with Livermore Public Library. We gave away candy and Spiderman prizes to eager trunk or treaters. We loved seeing all the amazing costumes and decorations! Huge thanks to Livermore Police Department for organizing and Friends of the Livermore Library for sponsoring this annual event.

Newsreel is a news platform with real reporting where every story has a real byline and a vetted journalist or expert whose name you can tap. News without the ads or the rage bait on the app and it also works on a web browser. Ages 13 and up. Try it out.

🎶 Celebrate Filipino American History Month with the vibrant sounds of Kulintang Dialect for a special performance featuring traditional Filipino kulintang music and original compositions. Admission is free, and all are welcome!

Kulintang Dialect is a traditional five-instrument kulintang ensemble that performs classic works primarily from the musical lineage of the late kulintang master artist Danongan Kalanduyan, as well as original compositions by musician and author Conrad J. Benedicto.

Benedicto studied with Kalanduyan from 1997 to 2016 and twice served as his apprentice through the Alliance for California Traditional Arts' apprenticeship program. In 2018, Benedicto received an individual artist grant from the San Francisco Arts Commission to compose original kulintang music for a project that became Kulintang Dialect.

The ensemble's first album, Roots/Offshoots, features its distinctive combination of traditional and original kulintang music. Its second album, Kulintang Dialogue, was released in May 2026. Visit for more information.
