Dr. Gary Richter will present an Armchair Travelers program on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in the Civic Center Library Storytime Room, 1188 S. Livermore Ave. His presentation is entitled "A Trip to Chad.” In 2018 Dr. Richter spent several weeks exploring the remote regions of Chad. Located in the Saharan desert, Chad is one of the least visited nations in the world as measured by visitors per capita. Dr. Richter is a retired physicist and international security analyst. He is also a member of the International Explorers Club and a frequent traveler who has spent time in all but six of the world’s nations. Registration is not required to attend this free program for adults.

Rosa Fierro Cellars is the only 100% Hispanic woman-owned winery in Livermore, specializing in making single-vineyard wines sourced from Livermore's finest vineyards. With meticulous attention to detail, they handcraft each wine in small batches, which ensures exceptional quality and character. Rosa Fierro Cellars makes about 1200 cases of wine each year, creating fanciful names for their wines – a few customer favorites are Savvy, Big Daddy, Zinphony and Call me a Cab.

Rosa Fierro Cellars sells most of their wine directly out of their urban winery and tasting room, which is located in Livermore's vibrant "Vasco Row," a unique destination for craft beverages just 5 minutes from Livermore's iconic downtown. You can usually find Rosa Fierro, the owner, in the tasting room, waiting to greet you, where groovy tunes fill the air and her winemaking photographs adorn the walls. You may also get a chance to meet Lulu, her winery dog and hostess.

ℹ️ 💻 📧 Get your basic tech questions answered during our drop-in service on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Civic Center Library from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., no registration needed. A volunteer will help adults with uploading and downloading files, creating an email account, using Microsoft Office and Google suites, and basic Web searching and browsing. This free service is not intended to help with completing online forms requiring personal information, or resume writing assistance, or making online purchases.

On Saturday, June 6, at 11 a.m., all ages are invited to experience the upbeat high-energy drum rhythms from Q***r Taiko, a diverse group of LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies committed to building community and awareness through Japanese taiko drumming. Join Livermore Public Library and Livermore Area Recreation and Park District - LARPD for Park After Dark – Traps & Night Blooms on Friday, June 5, from 8:30–10:00 p.m. at Sycamore Grove Park!
