Logan County students, families, and community members came together last night for Hope Pathways Community Night at Ralph R. Willis Career & Technical Center.

Hope Pathways is a two-year Career and Technical Education (CTE) program designed to prepare students for careers in energy and utility infrastructure, including opportunities within the natural gas and broader energy industries. Through this program, students can graduate as CTE completers, equipped for entry-level careers and apprenticeship opportunities right here in West Virginia.

The event provided a great opportunity for attendees to learn more about the program, connect with community partners, and, most importantly, help students explore the exciting possibilities that await them in their future careers.

A special thank you to everyone who helped make the evening a success, as well as to the students, families, and community partners who came out to support Hope Pathways!

Investing in our students today helps build the skilled workforce of tomorrow!

📚 Virtual Instruction Information

Virtual instruction will begin on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

💻 Students participating in virtual instruction may pick up their devices at their home school on:

🚩Thursday, August 27
🚩Friday, August 28

Students will use their STU email address to log in, and their WVEIS number will serve as their password.

If a student does not know their STU email address or WVEIS number, the school can provide this information when the student picks up their device.

What a GREAT first day!

The buses rolled, classrooms came to life, hallways filled up, and just like that… another school year is officially underway!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing staff, students, families, and communities for helping make the first day such a success. It takes everyone working together to get the year started on the right foot, and today was a great example of what makes Logan County special.

Today was only the first step, but it was a pretty great one! We’re excited for all the learning, laughter, accomplishments, and special moments still to come.

One day down and a whole year of possibilities ahead.

Pre-K grownups: our students DO NOT start school tomorrow with K-12 students. Teachers will be in touch with you soon to set up face to face meetings and to complete paperwork. :)
