Busy weekend in SD20! District Rep Star joined the first Latino Disability Leadership Convening with VALOR - Voces, Acción y Liderazgo Organizado para la Resiliencia, a statewide initiative connecting families with Family Resource Centers and community partners to strengthen Latino leadership and advocacy!

While Alex celebrated the amazing Valor Academy Elementary School new location! The opening will expand the schools they have here in the San Fernando Valley serving students from TK to 12th grade!

If signed into law, SB 1364 and SB 337 take significant steps in addressing gaps between safety and security for victims of abuse. CA now has the opportunity to expand on oversight and accountability so that safety stays at the center of decisions for survivors and both perpetrators & systems are held accountable.
