A few days left before applications close -- apply now!

Through the leadership of Los Angeles County Board Chair and First District Supervisor https://www.instagram.com/hildasolis/ funding has been invested to launch the Small Business Recovery Grants for eligible small businesses impacted by the June 17 Lineage Fire or the May 22 East Los Angeles Oil Spill.

Eligible businesses located within the County-designated impact areas may receive:
➡️ $3,000 for eligible commercial brick-and-mortar businesses
➡️ $1,000 for eligible home-based businesses with customer presence, sidewalk vendors, and mobile businesses
Applications are now open through October 1, 2026.

Funding is not first-come, first-served, so businesses have the full application period to apply. Eligibility requirements and geographic restrictions apply, and submitting an application does not guarantee an award.

Today, DEO joined the City of LA at the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Procurement Summit, where nearly 2,000 attendees came together to explore what’s next for LA’s small businesses.

Entrepreneurs connected with buyers and partners, learned about contracting opportunities in sports and entertainment—including those tied to LA28—and built relationships that could open doors for future growth.

The Road to 2028 Starts Here 🏅

The 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games could bring major economic opportunities to LA County.

DEO and LA County have released a new Economic Impact Analysis and Goals Framework to help local workers, small businesses, and communities share in those benefits.

The report projects more than $13.6 billion in direct Games-related spending and sets goals to expand local hiring and contracting, improve mobility, and support communities across the County.

We’re already putting this work into action through Path to 2028, with support for 1,000 small businesses and training for 1,000 local workers.
