18街藝術中心「On Shifting Ground」闕巧涵、Luciana Abait雙人聯展

18街藝術中心駐村藝術家闕巧涵即將完成3個月的駐村創作，並與阿根廷藝術家Luciana Abait合作推出雙人聯展「On Shifting Ground」，展出兩人在洛杉磯的創作成果。

雖然兩位藝術家的媒材與視覺語言截然不同，但她們在持續的對話中，找到了對「透過色彩重塑空間」的深層共鳴。這是一場關於「位移、記憶與身體」的視覺對話，邀請大家一同前來感受色彩與空間的流動！

"On Shifting Ground" at 18th Street Arts Center by Chiao-Han Chueh and Luciana Abait

We are excited to share "On Shifting Ground", an upcoming dual-artist exhibition featuring paintings created by Taiwanese artist Chiao-Han Chueh during her three-month residency in Los Angeles, alongside works from Argentine artist Luciana Abait’s Iceberg Series.

While working in distinct mediums and visual styles, Chueh and Abait found a remarkable common ground in how they transform spatial relationships through pigment, color, and layered interventions.

🎬【臺灣新銳影像創作者作品入選洛杉磯國際短片影展】

恭喜旅洛臺灣創作者丁宇萱（Yu-hsuan Ting）執導的科幻短片《LEGACY》，正式入選 2026 洛杉磯國際短片影展（L.A. Shorts International Film Festival）！

洛杉磯國際短片影展是美國最具代表性的國際短片影展之一，也是奧斯卡金像獎（Academy Awards®）、英國電影學院獎（BAFTA）、加拿大銀幕獎（Canadian Screen Awards）及西班牙哥雅獎（Goya Awards）認證的短片資格影展，長年發掘來自世界各地的優秀新銳影像創作者，歷年亦有多位臺灣導演及作品入選。

《LEGACY》以近未來為背景，講述一名記憶清除技師，在服從命令與保存珍貴生命記憶之間面臨抉擇，透過科幻敘事探討記憶、照護、世代傳承，以及科技快速發展下的人性價值。影片為丁宇萱於南加州大學電影藝術學院（USC School of Cinematic Arts）的碩士畢業製作，結合實景拍攝、LED 虛擬製作及生成式 AI 動畫等技術。

🎬 Taiwanese Filmmaker Selected for the 2026 LA Shorts International Film Festival

Congratulations to Los Angeles-based Taiwanese filmmaker Yu-hsuan Ting, whose sci-fi short film LEGACY has been officially selected for the 2026 LA Shorts International Film Festival!

Recognized as one of the leading international short film festivals in the United States, LA Shorts is an Academy Awards®, BAFTA, Canadian Screen Awards, and Goya Awards-qualifying festival. It has long served as a platform for outstanding emerging filmmakers from around the world, with many talented Taiwanese filmmakers having been selected over the years.

Set in the near future, LEGACY follows a memory-wipe technician forced to choose between obeying orders and preserving the precious memories of a human life. Through its science-fiction narrative, the film explores memory, caregiving, intergenerational legacy, and the enduring value of humanity in an age of rapid technological advancement. Produced as Ting’s MFA thesis project at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, the film combines live-action filmmaking, LED virtual production, and generative AI animation.

🎶臺灣音樂創作者入圍好萊塢獨立音樂獎！🇹🇼

恭喜臺灣世界音樂團體嬉班子樂團（SIBONGIE）與旅美臺灣作曲家江宜臻（Yi-Chen Chiang），分別入圍2026好萊塢獨立音樂獎（ Hollywood Independent Music Awards）！

🥁嬉班子樂團以最新專輯《Sang Sang Sang》中的原創歌曲〈Landaya Trust〉，入圍「世界音樂」（World）類別。成立於2005年的嬉班子，長年融合西非鼓樂與臺灣台語創作，在充滿生命力的節奏中，發展出獨具特色的跨文化音樂語言。

「Landaya」在西非曼丁語中意為「信任」，歌曲也記錄樂團20年來憑藉友情、堅持與彼此信任，一路走過挑戰的歷程。

🎼江宜臻則以為電影《Dancing Man》創作的管弦樂配樂〈Dream Sequence〉，入圍「最佳當代古典音樂」（Best Contemporary Classical）。作品透過細膩的管弦樂編制，描繪夢境與現實交錯的心理狀態，呈現角色內心的情緒轉折。

兩組臺灣音樂創作者將於7月30日齊聚洛杉磯Avalon Hollywood參加頒獎典禮，與來自世界各地的獨立音樂人交流。👏🎵

🎶 Taiwanese music creators are making their mark in Hollywood! Congratulations to Taiwanese world music ensemble SIBONGIE, whose original song “Landaya Trust” from the album Sang Sang Sang has been nominated in the World category, and Los Angeles-based Taiwanese composer Yi-Chen Chiang, whose orchestral score “Dream Sequence” for the film Dancing Man has been nominated for Best Contemporary Classical at the 2026 Hollywood Independent Music Awards. The two Taiwanese nominees will attend the awards ceremony at Avalon Hollywood on July 30, joining independent music creators from around the world. 🇹🇼👏🎵

🎬臺灣紀錄片團隊亮相Getting Real ’26！

7月21日晚間，「灰色地帶：《金門》＋《顏色擷取樣本.mov》」特別放映票券索取一空，現場座無虛席。駐洛杉磯辦事處馬博元處長蒞臨致詞，三位導演江松長（S. Leo Chiang）、陳卓斯（Chan Cheuk-sze）與王紀堯（Kathy Wong）也於映後分享各自的創作歷程，與觀眾深入交流。

中午的Industry Expo同樣氣氛熱絡，臺灣書院攤位由CNEX 視納華仁與Giloo 紀實影音團隊共同駐攤，吸引許多國際紀錄片工作者熱切詢問。CNEX創辦人蔣顯斌更頂著烈日，熱情向與會者介紹臺灣紀錄片產業與作品！☀️🎥🇹🇼
