The LAFD truly enjoys every chance to connect with the community, just like today at VeniceFest in Venice Beach!

From fire engine tours to friendly conversations, their presence brought smiles and a strong sense of safety to the event.

Events like this remind us how strong the bond is between our first responders and the neighborhoods they serve.

Thank you, members of Fire Station 62! 🚒

• Remembering Our Fallen •

Tomorrow marks 27 years since the tragic Line of Duty Deaths involving LAFD’s Fire 3 on March 23, 1998.

While airlifting a young patient to Children’s Hospital, Fire 3 suffered a mechanical failure and crashed in Griffith Park.

We honor the lives lost:

• AO Michael D. McComb – FS 90-B
• FF/PM Michael A. Butler – FS 81-B
• FF/PM Eric F. Reiner – FS 81-B
• Norma Vides – Patient

Seriously injured:
Pilot II Steven Robinson (Air Ops) & FF Dennis Silgen (FS 90-B)

Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
