Westside Pacific Villages Volunteer-driven, non-profit Westside Pacific Villages is a community of neighbors who support each other, especially our senior neighbors.

Vision:

Westside Pacific Village seeks to bring members of our community together in the spirit of collaboration, purpose and giving so that we may enhance the lives of many, and offer a sense of security and peace of mind to seniors, and their families, who have paved the way for all of us.

Last week Suzanne Feit, author and Assistive Tech consultant, gave a presentation on "Making ChatGPT Simple" at Raintree Condominiums in Culver City. WPV staff attended the 8th Annual Village Movement California Statewide Conference at the beautiful LA Arboretum last Thursday and Friday. The theme was resiliency and the power of community — honoring the strength, adaptability, and enduring spirit of the village movement across California. We heard informative speakers and panel discussions on disaster preparedness, equity and inclusion, navigating conflict, building resiliency for life's challenges, and more.

One of the best parts is always connecting with other Village leaders from around the state and sharing ideas and best practices, and coming back feeling inspired and connected to the Village Movement!

Meet WPV Volunteer, Rodney!
"I discovered WPV quite by accident at the dry cleaners ten years ago. I noticed a stack of WPV brochures on the counter and casually picked up one as I waited in line. I decided immediately that I wanted to be a part of the solution that WPV is providing for clients AND their families. That decision, it turns out, is giving me one of the most rewarding, impactful experiences of my life. Ironically, I'm receiving as great a benefit from my association with WPV as are the Clients. The heartfelt appreciation expressed by Clients and their families is deeply touching, and I treasure the relationships developed over time with my regulars. Being told that you're considered an adopted grandson truly pulls the heartstrings. Plus (and it's a big plus), the very close/ supportive/ loving friendships we have developed with several other Volunteers and their spouses have given new meaning to our definition of family."
