"As a girl, my mother instilled in me the importance of offering help to people in my community, and I have been volunteering with my elders since I was 10 years old. I love making friends from different generations, and if I can be helpful in the process all the better. There has been such a magical expansion in my life every time I engage in acts of service; I’m grateful for the opportunity. I'm so grateful WPV exists, it renews my belief that we humans can really succeed if we work together in community." -

We all scream for ice cream! The room wasn’t air conditioned, but with the help of many fans we beat the heat and cooled off with free ice cream sundaes on Thursday at Covenant Presbyterian Church. We also were treated to a recital by the Chiao family singers, whose joyful performance showed us how staying active with hobbies like singing can keep us vibrant and active well into our golden years!
