FBI Louisville offers its deepest condolences to the men and women of Kentucky State Police (KSP) and the friends and family of Trooper Hayden Phillips who was tragically killed in the line of duty earlier today.

Law enforcement officers dedicate their lives to protecting the communities they serve, which is exactly what Trooper Phillips was so valiantly doing when his life was senselessly taken.

The FBI is standing side-by-side with its law enforcement partners throughout the Commonwealth in honoring the work and life of Trooper Phillips and will continue to stand with KSP and the Commonwealth Attorney's Office throughout the forthcoming investigation.
