FBI Louisville recently participated in , the FBI's latest effort to crush violent crime in America.

The three-month nationwide operation surged resources to target the illegal flow of fi****ms and narcotics that fuel violence in our communities.

💥Locally, as part of Operation Spring Cleaning, FBI Louisville participated in 20 joint operations, secured 29 arrests and 5 criminal indictments, and seized 15 fi****ms.

Together, with federal, state, and local partners this FBI will do everything we can to hold violent criminals accountable.

🤝🇺🇸 Keeping Americans safe across the Commonwealth of Kentucky takes law enforcement coordination at every level – federal, state, and local. Every agency brings resources and expertise to the table, including the FBI. The results are undeniable. Over the last three months, the FBI is directly responsible for or has contributed to 50 indictments, 107 arrests, 78 drug seizures, 20 weapons recovered, and 49 convictions.

🏇For the 152nd Running of the Kentucky Derby and several other Kentucky Derby Festival events, the FBI’s SWAT Team, Special Agent Bomb Technicians (SABTs), Evidence Response Team (ERT), Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) Teams, and intelligence personnel worked alongside our state and local partners to ensure a safe and fun experience for all.

🚔FBI Louisville’s SWAT Team, ERT, and numerous other personnel from the FBI offices in Louisville and Lexington responded to the deadly Berea, KY bank robbery and subsequent pursuit of the subject on April 30th.

💣In addition to the Derby-related events, our FBI Louisville SABTs responded to 8 additional incidents, rendering 4 homemade explosive devices safe.

💻Experts from the FBI’s Laboratory, the Cellular Analysis Survey Team (CAST), and the Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (RCFL) have recently provided their expertise to state investigations leading to a life sentence for Thomas O’Donnell for the murder of Michael Harding and guilty pleas for both Daivon Thompson and Mayonna Anthony for the kidnapping and murder of Malik Lassiter.

🚫The Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) Louisville brings together numerous federal partners (FBI, HSI, ATF, DEA, CBP, USMS, USSS, IRS-CI, USPIS) and many state and local agencies (KSP, Shively PD, St. Matthews PD, and LMPD) to eliminate criminal cartels, foreign gangs, transnational criminal organizations, and human smuggling and trafficking rings operating in the United States and abroad.
