JT Hutchinson is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School The administration, faculty, staff and parents of Hutchinson Middle School work collaboratively to support student learning through integrated units of study. IB programs are recognized around the world and ensure an increased adaptability and mobility for IB students. IB programs focus on international perspectives of learning and

teaching, while insisting that students fully explore their home culture and language. IB World Schools undergo an exhaustive authorization process in order to offer IB programs, including a study of the school’s resources and commitment to the IBO mission and philosophy. IB teachers participate in extensive professional development opportunities to constantly update their knowledge and share their expertise with colleagues around the world. 💚💛Hutchinson Families,

We made it to the last day of school!

Students cleaned out their lockers today, so backpacks will not be needed or allowed tomorrow. We understand some students may still need to bring a cell phone, and that is okay. As a reminder, phones should remain up, off, and out of sight in their pocket during the school day.

To celebrate the end of the school year, students will be allowed to wear:

Pajamas

Hats

Sunglasses

Our 8th Grade Hall Walk will begin at approximately 12:25 p.m. Parents who would like to celebrate with us may enter through the auditorium doors beginning at 12:20 p.m.

8th grade students will be free to leave once they complete their route through the building. Please make arrangements to pick up your student by 12:40 p.m. Students who are not picked up will be brought to the front office at 1:00 p.m. to wait for transportation.

I hope all of our Hutch Rangers have an amazing summer! Please be on the lookout for information regarding Open House, school supplies, PTA membership, and shirts for next school year. Much of this information was included in the weekly announcements sent on Sunday, May 17.

One last time, I want to say how excited and honored I am to be the new principal at Hutchinson Middle School. I look forward to getting to know our families even more and will be setting up some meet-and-greet opportunities as we get closer to the start of school.
