Students in Mr. Hamilton’s Drama class are taking the director’s chair! Artists in Mrs. Sammons’ class have been hard at work in Elements of Art Boot Camp!

Our 7th graders put art AND math skills to work as they created their own 12-section color wheels—without a tracer! 🎨 They mixed primary, secondary, and tertiary colors to bring their carefully measured designs to life.

Meanwhile, our 8th graders created Mini Masterpieces showcasing the primary, secondary, and tertiary color families while showing off their skills with different artistic mediums.

These Cougars definitely rose to the artistic challenge, and we can’t wait to see their colorful creations on display!

Today, Mrs. Smith’s 8th grade Spark mathematicians went beyond the basic procedures of compound inequalities by reasoning, modeling, and explaining their solutions.

Using real-world scenarios and constraints, students had to think critically about what the math meant…not just solve it.

They explored how inequalities can represent real-life scenarios, justify their reasoning, and determine whether their solutions actually made sense in context.

Math is more than getting the answer. It’s also about understanding why the answer works. 🔢

Teamwork makes the dream work!

Today in Ms. Cicalese’s Career classes, students put their collaboration skills to the test as they worked together toward a common goal.

Communication, cooperation, problem-solving, and teamwork: skills that will serve our Cougars well wherever their future careers take them! 🐾💜💛
