Next week is Attendance & Literacy Spirit Week at BHMES! Let's celebrate together!!

Show Up, Read, Draw, and Write Challenge!
Choose a book you have read and complete one challenge:
Option 1: Draw It!
Draw your favorite or most important part of the book. Include the book’s title and explain why you chose that part.
Option 2: Write It!
Write a book recommendation that convinces another student to read the book. Include the title, what the book is about, and reasons someone should read it.

Turn in to your homeroom teacher by Thursday!

We were very fortunate to have Miss West visit us this morning during our student broadcast. It was such a treat for our student broadcast team to be able to speak with a seasoned news anchor. We are very thankful for the experience!

Today is our Annual Title 1 Meeting, 5:30pm in the cafeteria.

Burdell-Hunt Parents and Guardians,

We warmly invite you to attend our Annual Title I Meeting on September 2, 2026 at 5:30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and connect with our faculty, staff, and fellow Burdell-Hunt families while learning about the exciting academic programs, extracurricular activities, and opportunities planned for this school year.

We will also share important information about the benefits of Title I funding, answer your questions, and discuss ways we can continue partnering together to support the success of our students as we P.U.S.H for the PROMISE.

As an added incentive, students whose families attend will receive PBIS Rewards Points, and families will receive PIMS Points.

Your involvement makes a difference, and we value your partnership. We look forward to welcoming you and seeing you at our Annual Title I Meeting!

Burdell Hunt Elementary encourages all families to stay connected with our school by using these important tools:

Parent Portal (Campus Parent)
All parents should have a Parent Portal account. Parent Portal allows families to view their child’s grades, assignments, and attendance, update contact information, complete important forms and permissions, and stay informed about their child’s education.

ParentSquare
All parents should have a ParentSquare account. ParentSquare is used to receive important school and classroom messages, announcements, and event updates. Families can also communicate directly with teachers and staff through the app.

K12 My Ride
Families with a child who rides the bus should use K12 My Ride. The app provides bus route information, scheduled stop times and locations, real time updates, and information about transportation delays or changes.

These tools help our families stay informed, communicate easily, never miss important updates, and support their child’s success.
