🇺🇸Happy 250th birthday, America ! 🇺🇸

From all of us at Madison County Fire Rescue, we want to wish everyone a safe and happy Independence Day. As you celebrate with your families, remember these 3 quick safety tips.

🎆Leave fireworks to the professional professionals whenever possible. When using consumer fireworks, all they’re all instructions and keep a water source nearby

🔥Keep grills and fireworks away from homes, vehicles, and anything flammable. And absolutely never leave them unattended.

🚑🚨Stay hydrated and have a plan. Florida heat can be dangerous. Watch for sounds of dehydration and heat related illness. If every emergency, dial 911

Have a safe and memorable fourth of July as we celebrate America’s 250 years of Independence!🇺🇸🚒

MCFR crews trained on Downed Firefighter Procedures. Our crews operate in extreme environments that place tremendous stress on the body. The potential for injury or death is very real. In moments like these, second count!

Crews practiced rapid firefighter removal, emergency removal of firefighter gear and ensemble, with quick transition to aggressive Advanced life support care.

When one of ours goes down, there is no time to figure it out. Our crews deserve the same urgency, skill, and professionalism that we provide to the public everyday. We’re dedicated and committed to being ready for whatever obstacles lays before us.

Everyone goes home !

MCFR simulated a distressed patient 130ft above ground during a high angle rescue training.

Our USAR members practiced rope rescue operations, patient packaging, and safe lowering techniques, ending with a safe transition to ALS care by our Medical crews.

Here at MCFR, we train for the worst case scenario because emergencies don’t happen under ideal conditions. When someone’s life is threatened, we’ll meet any challenges head on! Building confidence with realistic scenario so that we can provide calm, competent, and effective care to your community when they need us the most!
