Today we celebrated our Quarter 4 Showcase!

Students proudly shared their learning with peers throughout the school, highlighting their hard work and creativity through music performances, plays, essays, writing projects, film segments, and math activities. It was wonderful to see our students shine as they showcased their accomplishments with the Anana community. We are so proud of all they have achieved this year!

Today Brandon Taylor visited from WKOW to talk with our third graders about how the news is made. He provided language and ideas to help students craft their own news segments around the global water crisis. Students will start to create their news segments soon, which will be shared at our next school showcase. Third grade scholars may even get a shoutout on the WKOW News tonight at 6pm!

This year our 5th graders built meaningful pen-pal partnerships with Attic Angels, exchanging letters every two weeks to share personal updates, classroom experiences, new learning, and important moments from their lives.

Through these thoughtful exchanges, students strengthened their communication and writing skills while developing authentic relationships with members of the community.

Today, students and their pen pals had the opportunity to meet in person to celebrate the connections they built throughout the year — a special experience filled with smiles, conversation, and joy.
