Last week was a great week of learning at Gateway! From math manipulatives and morning meetings to Open House, small-group instruction, students driving their learning, and quality writing, our students were engaged, thinking, collaborating, and growing every day.

A huge THANK YOU to Well House Church for selecting Gateway Elementary as one of the sites for your Day of Good Service projects! ❤️

What an amazing day of service and support for our Gateway students and staff. The Well House team rolled up their sleeves and made a tremendous impact by purging expired food from our food bank, sorting surplus clothing, relocating our Gaga Pit for students to enjoy during recess, and painting benches for our indoor spaces.

We are so grateful for the time, energy, and heart you poured into our school community. Your generosity and willingness to serve made today truly special.

Our third graders used their knowledge of lines and added a new understanding of paint to create beautiful works of art with Mrs. Budesa! We love seeing students build on their learning, experiment with new techniques, and let their creativity shine!

First week of learning is in the books!

This week, our team focused on creating a culture rooted in relationships through CBC — Connections Before Curriculum. Each day, we centered our learning around an IB Learner Profile and built connections through group discussions, team-building activities, and meaningful conversations.

We are off to a great start at Gateway!

Today, teachers were surprised with a First Friday “Happy Bike”! With our theme, Driving Our Learning, we’re officially driving into the weekend! A fun way to celebrate our team and the start of a great year!

Thank you to Cornerstone Church for the delicious cookies! Your sweet treat blessed our community and helped make the after-lunch transition a little sweeter. We are grateful for your kindness and support of our Gateway team!
